According to the EM&A Manual, a Landscape Architect or related
professional shall be employed to audit the implementation of landscape
construction works particularly during site clearance operations when the
proposed tree felling and transplanting will take place and subsequent
maintenance operations. Site audits should be undertaken every week during the
construction phase to check that the proposed landscape and visual mitigation
measures are properly implemented and maintained as per their intended objectives.
The mitigation measure recommended in the EIA Report as the audit requirements
for landscape and visual, including: preservation of existing vegetation,
transplanting of affected trees, compensatory tree planting, control of
night-time lighting glare, erection of decorative screen hoarding and
management of construction activities and facilities are summarized in Appendix J.
To monitor and
audit the implementation of landscape and visual mitigation measures for Contract
DC/2019/10, five weekly landscape and visual site audits were carried out on 3,
9, 17, 23 and 30 December 2025.
For Contractor DE/2020/01, no site audit was conducted as there is no landscape
or visual impact for the indoor works under Contract DE/2020/01.
No outstanding issues were reported during the reporting month. The ET
Leader’s Site Environmental Audit
are summarized in Appendix M.
