11.     FUTURE KEY ISSUES

11.1       Construction Programme for the Next Three Month

·             Demolition of FST no. 5-8, Sludge Holding Tanks no. 3 & 4, Auxiliary Pumping Station;

·             Sheep Pile installation, pipe Laying and construction of RC chamber at Zone 2B and subsequence diversion work;

·             Env. Drill holes inside Air Flotation Thickener;

·             Sheet pile installation, excavation work and RC structure at IW & PST;

·             Sheet pile installation, ELS, construction of RC chamber at Zone 3 (Area E – Temp. Thickened Sludge/Supernatant Pumping Station);

·             Construction of Primary Sludge Draw-off chamber;

·             Installation of sheet pile, excavation and construction of temporary chamber at Zone 2B;

·             Construction RC plinth for AGS pilot plant & Filter Disc pilot plant;

·             Pipe Laying for Zone 3;

·             Installation of sheet pile for demolition of Aeration Tank no. 5-8 at AGS;

·             Installation of sheet pile, excavation work for foundation and RC foundation and structure;

·             Construction of temp. transformer room (1600A);

·             Construction of Digested Sludge Pumping Station (Zone 3A);

·             Construction of Temp. Sludge Gravity Thickening Tank (Zone 3B);

·             Demolition of Settled Sewage Overflow Chamber;

·             Demolition of PST no. 4; and

·             Cone Penetration Test at Sludge Thickening Building.

11.2      Key Issues for the Coming Month

11.2.1     Potential environmental impacts arising from the above construction activities are mainly associated with construction dust, construction noise, waste management, ecology, land contamination and landscape and visual impact issues.

11.3      Monitoring Schedules for the Next Three Month

11.3.1     The tentative schedule for environmental monitoring in the coming three month is provided in Appendix E.
